Detailed description
The Jan Ligthart activity center visits around 30 adults with a non-congenital brain injury and / or physical disability. One of the components of the range of activities is fitness (without devices). We work with weights, kettlebells and bosuballs, among others. The participants are either wheelchair-dependent or have mobility problems. The job of the volunteer is to stimulate, motivate and inspire the participants together with the professional.
Working hours: Tuesday at 1.15 pm - 4.00 pm
Special Conditions: Affinity with fitness and people with non-congenital brain injury is desirable. A party evening for volunteers is organized once every two years. Of course you will receive a Christmas package and 3 times a year the Sherpa magazine. You work in an exciting sector that is at the center of society!
Training method and guidance: Volunteers are indispensable. We realize that very well. That's why Sherpa wants to take good care of the volunteer. There will be an introduction where you can see if this volunteer vacancy suits you. Activities
Sherpa is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers. How often you meet depends on you. Some like to go to the local market together every week, others agree on a monthly basis. The employees of the Social Deployment Office listen to your wishes, hobbies and interests and put them next to the questions of the clients. That way we always look for the perfect match!
