Detailed description
With the vacancies that we now place, the client and the volunteer can adhere to the rules of the RIVM. Keeping a distance of 1.5 meters is no problem.
Fadi came to the Netherlands from Syria 5 years ago. He has autism, can have a very basic conversation. He can walk, cycle and help with the household and 2 days a week he goes to St. Joseph for daytime activities. He likes swimming, plants and being outside. He lives with his father and mother but often feels lonely and would like to have more contacts. That would also help him learn the Dutch language. Now his mother translates everything for him.
It would be great if we could find someone who speaks Arabic in addition to Dutch. But this is not a requirement.
We are looking for someone with an affinity for autism, someone who is patient, friendly and calm. Could you please Fadi from time to time with a nice walk or bike ride? He lives near the moor.

Activities
Sherpa is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers. How often you meet depends on you. Some like to go to the local market together every week, others agree on a monthly basis. The employees of the Social Deployment Office listen to your wishes, hobbies and interests and put them next to the questions of the clients. That way we always look for the perfect match!
