Do you want to be part of a magical event in Apeldoorn? The Royal Light Festival 2025 is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team! The festival will take place from Wednesday 12 March to Sunday 16 March 2025 and brings light, art and culture together at special locations in the city.
When?
- Wednesday March 12: 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday March 13: 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Friday March 14: 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday March 15: 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday March 16: 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM
What will you do? As a volunteer you are indispensable for the success of the festival. Your tasks can include:
- Receiving and guiding visitors.
- Supporting the construction and dismantling of locations.
- Answering questions from visitors.
- Assist in supervising the art installations and light shows.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for volunteers who:
- Preferably living in Apeldoorn or the surrounding area.
- Be available on at least 2 evenings during the festival.
- Be enthusiastic, hospitable and have good communication skills.
- Be flexible and stress-resistant.
- Enjoying working in a team.
- You are able to walk well and can stand for several hours.
Please note : This is an outdoor event in March. Expect cold and changing weather conditions. Make sure to wear warm clothing, sturdy shoes and be prepared to work in the fresh air.

This 5-day festival, free of charge for young and old, puts Apeldoorn in the spotlight again with spectacular light artworks by (inter)national artists. This year, the Royal Light Festival is themed 'Free' in honour of 80 years of liberation, and offers a unique opportunity to commemorate and celebrate freedom and solidarity together.
