As a language buddy, you support students in learning Dutch. For example, you help them improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills.
The Education department is part of Zin! day care and is part of Pro Persona. Pro Persona is a specialized mental health care institution. At Education, clients can learn new things and also refresh their knowledge and skills. Various courses and training programs are offered, for example, in cooking, language, public transport, and digital skills. Both individual and group training programs are available.
Detailed job description
As a language buddy, you'll work with professionals to support our clients in learning Dutch. You'll help them improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills, for example. The client's learning needs are paramount. Sometimes you'll focus on basic Dutch, and you'll provide support in English.
We are looking for a volunteer who:
* is calm, friendly and patient
* has an open attitude and understanding of psychological vulnerability
* you can communicate well and provide clear explanations
* likes to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
