Detailed description
The Present Enschede Foundation has been bridging the gap between people who have something to offer and people who can be helped with this for more than 13 years. We are a dynamic foundation with a small operational team of 2 professionals, a number of project coordinators, project supervisors and a large group of volunteers who have volunteered 1119 times. Every year we organize about 210 projects; beautiful encounters in which various groups are committed to their fellow man. We believe in an Enschede where people take it for granted to look at each other.
Purpose of the job
Guarding the financial ins and outs of St. Present Enschede
Together with the other board members responsible for the total functioning of St. Present Enschede
Tasks
The treasurer has the following board duties:
● Draws up an annual budget and has it approved by the board.
● Monitors the expenses and plans of the board in relation to the budget.
● Takes care of the accounting monthly.
● Ensures timely payment of invoices.
● Detects financial inaccuracies and / or omissions in good time and discusses these with the other board members.
● Discusses an overview of the interim financial situation with the other board members every month.
● Prepares decisions of the board financially.
● Takes care of the application of subsidies from municipalities and funds and is actively involved in recruiting new subsidies and funds.
● Maintains contact with subsidizers in consultation with the chairman.
● Submits the annual accounts and the financial report to the board for approval at the end of the year.
● Maintains contact with the external payroll administration at an accounting firm.
● Answers questions from board members and volunteers about financial matters at St.Present Enschede.
What do we expect from you?
● That you support the vision and working method of Present Enschede;
● That you live in Enschede, or in the immediate region;
● That you want to be an ambassador for Present in your own network;
● That you participate in board meetings about 10 times a year;
● Commitment for a term of 4 years, with option to extend by another 4 years.

This concerns group-based efforts among people who can use a helping hand because of a lack of money, network or health. It is important to meet and that you have a social heart for people on the fringe of society. The stake is one-off and defined. Examples of projects are: modifying a neglected garden, sauces in a living room, or taking people in a wheelchair outside, or accompanying an afternoon of games in an institution.
