Summary

Together with the nurse and colleague volunteer, you take care of our guests who are in the last phase of their lives and their loved ones.

Detailed description

Do you want to support people in the last phase of their life in hospice? Would you like to do something for someone else and are you someone who can empathize? Then we are looking for you!

What does volunteer work look like

The activities include: providing support with care, hostess / host, offering a listening ear, guiding family, walking and / or having a chat. But also hand care, reading together (possibly from the Bible). Being there for the other is the most important thing.

What do we ask of you

You have an affinity with this special care. If you want to work in the hospice, you follow the introductory course and participate in a number of shifts with an experienced volunteer.

When you have completed the course, we expect you to be available 4 times a month, of which 1 x a weekend half day. All this in consultation, of course.

Good mastery of the Dutch language.

What makes the work worth it

You do this work from your heart with sometimes a smile and a tear. You can really be there for the other person and make a difference that day.

What do we have to offer you as a volunteer?

  • You are entitled to a travel allowance (from 5 km one way).
  • You are insured.
  • You will receive a present from the Opella employee during the month.
  • You will receive an end-of-year gift around Christmas.
  • You can take training.

Grenzen stellen is nodig. Want grensoverschrijdend gedrag komt helaas overal voor, dus ook in organisaties waar vrijwilligers worden ingezet. Posted by Vrijwilligerspunt
