The Onclin-Chabrion Foundation is looking for a board member.

The Onclin-Chabrion Foundation aims to preserve the painting collection of the painter Kor Onclin (1918-2003) and to develop activities to make his oeuvre accessible to a wider audience. Furthermore, the foundation aims to stimulate children in developing – in a broad sense – their expressive possibilities. This is done with educational art projects at schools. The foundation was established in 1992.

The Foundation organizes various exhibitions and educational projects in the Netherlands and France each year. Part of the collection and all kinds of news about the foundation can be seen on www.koronclin.com , social media and the webshop .

The foundation's collection is in a temporary location in Deventer, is gradually expanded thanks to donations and where necessary refurbished. Finding a permanent location (50m2) is urgent.

The foundation's financial resources come from contributions from donors, compensation for educational projects and incidental project subsidies.

An important issue for the foundation is its continuity. Steps must be taken towards rejuvenation of the board and possibly also cooperation with one or more other organizations in the world of art and culture.

The (unpaid) board of the foundation consists of five people. The board meets approximately 4 times a year. In addition, board members - sometimes together with other volunteers - carry out specific tasks in accordance with a previously agreed division of tasks, such as organizing an exhibition, providing information, managing the website or the financial administration.

We are looking for a new board member. He or she has

• affinity with the work of Kor Onclin
• a network in the art and culture world
• regional ties (urban triangle Apeldoorn, Deventer, Zutphen)
• time and interest to develop a vision for the future of the foundation together with the other board members
