Drivers / Coachmen

In particular, we are looking for volunteers with a driving license or coach driver's license who can drive, as we are receiving more and more requests for the covered wagon and covered bed driving. The driver steers the horses from the covered wagon and is assisted during the ride by people such as family or supervisors who know the rider well. The activity takes place at/around Manege Zandewierde in Nieuw-Wehl.

What are you going to do?

· Harnessing and unharnessing the horses before and after the activity;

· Assist/guide riders (members) with boarding and the activity;

· Taking the horses to the run or bringing them in;

· Brushing and caring for horses;

· Muck out stables and, if necessary, clearing the yard.

What do we ask of you?

· Affinity with people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

· Able to work independently

· Work well together in the team (board and volunteers)

· In possession of a valid driving/coach driver's license or learning to do so.

Frequency:

Riders need permanent guidance and a bond quickly develops between rider and supervisor, which means that volunteer work is not entirely without obligation. It is important to come on a regular basis, but there are many options such as: coming every other week, every week or certain hours. Fortunately, you get a lot of gratitude from riders, fun and fun in return.

We need volunteers for several times during the week.
