Together we give seriously ill children confidence and strength for the future. By fulfilling their dearest wish.
Does the Dutch language hold no secrets for you, do you have a fluent pen and are you aware of what is happening in the digital universe? Then we would like to welcome you as:
Communication volunteer in the Gelderland region
What are you going to do?
As a communication volunteer you maintain contacts with the regional press and you provide the correct information about Make-A-Wish Netherlands to external parties. You also take care of the PR and communication within the region and you coordinate with the Communication team at the office. In this position you mainly work from home and on location. You also actively participate in meetings and training days that are offered by Make-A-Wish Netherlands.
What are your duties?
- you draw up a media landscape (a list of the relevant media in the area)
- you establish and maintain contact with journalists
- you prepare press releases and send them in response to an activity or news item.
- you are always aware of all activities of Make-A-Wish Netherlands in your own region and you may act as a regional spokesperson in collaboration with the Communication team at the office
- you keep the Communications team at the office informed about media activities
- you keep yourself informed of regional news
- you provide press for a wish fulfillment if the wish family allows the media
- You are responsible for correct outgoing communication
You!
- have HBO work level
- fulfills the ambassador role of the organization
- have experience in maintaining media contacts
- has excellent social, communication and editorial skills
- has a good command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing
- can speak in public
- applies the ethical basis of Make-A-Wish Netherlands at all times, namely: the privacy of the wishing child and the wishing family is guaranteed
- are willing to work with our CRM computer system
- are flexible in time and commitment. This is an average of 5 hours per week.
