Since 2015 many people from Rivierenland are committed to and with newcomers. In recent years we have learned a lot about what works, what needs to be improved, and what we do not have to do anymore. The challenge is: how do we ensure that this knowledge is used and passed on. The Province of Gelderland and OpenEmbassy are organizing a series of Making Sessions this year to help with this.
On September 11, from 9.30 to 13.00 hrs we organize a Making session for the Rivierenland region, on the theme 'Local connection'. For newcomers, volunteers, civil servants, NGOs, social district teams, care partners, associations, churches and sports clubs. You already received a pre-announcement. Below the program!

In addition to learning, we also want to solve concrete issues with the Design Sessions. That is why there is room to present your own issues in the area of local solidarity and to solve this directly with other participants. This can be one specific issue of a local newcomer, but also a cooperation issue of an organization, or a personal assignment. You can mention that in your application, but it is also good to do that on the day itself. We help you to present it on the spot.
