Do you want to help represent the ME / CFS Foundation in various relevant national and international networks and make our voice heard?
De ME/CVS Stichting Nederland is als enige officiële patiëntenorganisatie voor mensen met ME/CVS in Nederland lid van diverse nationale en internationale netwerkorganisaties zoals Patiëntenfederatie, PGO Support, Pijnpatiënten naar 1 stem, Iederin, EMEA (de Europese alliantie van ME/CVS patiëntenorganisaties en nog een aantal anderen.
De directeur is meestal de representant van onze organisatie in deze gremia. Maar de veelheid van vergaderingen maakt het onmogelijk om overal aanwezig te zijn en onze inbreng te leveren. Daarom zijn we op zoek naar een of meerdere enthousiaste netwerker(s) die het leuk vinden om onze organisatie in enkele van deze gremia te vertegenwoordigen.
Je woont de (bijna altijd online) vergaderingen bij, neemt eventueel deel in een werkgroep, praat mee over de betreffende agendapunten en neemt deel aan werkgroepen of projecten van deze organisaties.
Als je het leuk vindt om actief te netwerken en invloed om beleid op allerlei (zorg-gerelateerde) terreinen te nemen en lobby en bestuurlijke zaken interessant en spannend vindt, dan is deze vrijwilligersvacature precies goed voor je.
Last but not least bouw je hiermee snel en effectief aan je eigen professioneel netwerk . Dat is in de huidige netwerk-maatschappij van groot belang.
Je hoeft geen diepgaande medische of specifieke bestuurlijke kennis te hebben. Je leert alles "on the job" en waar je nog iets mist, helpen we je mee op weg. Je/jullie vervangen de directeur bij vergaderingen, waar hij niet bij aanwezig kan zijn en voor een aantal organisaties word jij /worden jullie de eerste aanspreekpersoon namens onze stichting.
De meeste vergaderingen vinden online plaats, maar incidenteel zijn er ook fysieke bijeenkomsten, meestal ergens in het midden van het land. Af en toe is het ook goed en gezellig om naar ons kantoor in Hilversum te komen om contact te houden en eventueel af te stemmen met elkaar.

Regardless of the severity of their illness, their origin, gender or age. Young people with ME / CFS receive extra attention from us. They still have a life ahead of them and deserve extra help.
We do this by:
- Aiming for broad recognition and recognition of ME / CFS as a very serious disabling physical disease
- offering (a platform for) contact with fellow sufferers
- Contribute with progress towards the cure of ME / CFS
- as a knowledge center for ME / CFS to contribute to the sharing of information, knowledge and experience
- contribute from our network to scientific research aimed at the cure of ME / CFS.
For this we focus on ME / CFS patients, their family members and relatives, healthcare professionals and policymakers. We continuously work to achieve our goals with dedication, independence, integrity and an open attitude. We have an inclusive, positive basic attitude. We look at what can still be done and what can be improved. We are optimistic and enjoy our work. Our bottle is always half full and never half empty.
