The so-called participants of the Salvation Army are people who have to deal with psychosocial disabilities. As a result, they find it difficult to find their way in society. Participants living independently - who follow daytime activities at the Salvation Army - often have a limited or no social network. In the evenings and weekends, those participants have a great need for a buddy with whom they can do something fun with in their spare time. A buddy is a socially and socially involved person who likes to work for someone else in his spare time. He or she offers a listening ear and undertakes (small) activities that match the interests of the participant. It is preferably someone of the same sex, of approximately the same age. It is also possible to become a duo mate. In that case, the buddy alternates the visit to the participant with another buddy. Job requirements: We ask: You are available in the evenings and at the weekend You will be in regular contact with the participant for a period of a year and meet each other approximately twice a month for an hour and a half You do not see yourself as a care provider but as a type of 'new acquaintance' who regularly undertakes something fun with the participant You are stable, independent, patient, loyal and friendly You can deal well with people who have to deal with psychosocial problems You have respect for other norms and values You have respect for the objectives of the Salvation Army

About Leger des Heils
Korpsen. Zo noemen wij onze kerkelijke gemeenten. Loop eens binnen.
