Who are we?
The Connection is a meeting place for local residents in Apeldoorn South. We have various activities including eating together, the lunchroom and creative activities. We are open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 1 pm.
The Connection is located at Hofveld 21-23 in Apeldoorn.
Activities
You assist the coordinator with the following tasks:
- You are the ears and eyes of the visitors and the volunteers.
- You help visitors to solve problems.
- You stimulate visitors to work with their own talent.
- You work together with other volunteers who devise and organize all kinds of activities.
- You are responsible for the daily affairs of the Connection and for the well-being of the volunteers present.
We ask
We think it is important that you are reliable and that you connect with our target group. In addition, the following competencies are important:
- You have experience working with and guiding volunteers.
- You can respond to and anticipate questions from visitors;
- You are enthusiastic and accessible, make contacts easily and know how to strike the right chord with visitors;
- Perseverance, being creative and always looking for solutions is your strength.
- You are convinced that every person matters. You take that extra step that is necessary to reach and activate the visitor.
- You are clear and clear, both in your oral and written communication.
- Living in Apeldoorn or surroundings;
- You have a Christian philosophy and respect for the purpose of the Salvation Army.
- You have respect for other norms and values.
- Has a HBO working and thinking level.
- Willing to be available 4 to 8 hours per week.
We offer
We offer our volunteers a dynamic workplace and three times a year a moment where the volunteers can meet each other, think along and where we thank the volunteers.
