The Veldhuis location of KleinGeluk is a nursing home where elderly people live independently but are dependent on intensive care.Detailed description
In the Veldhuis location, elderly people live, mostly with a physical care need. They have their own apartment and like to keep their own independence. The residents meet other residents in the neighbourhood room during breakfast, coffee or at the activities that are offered.
A number of residents prefer individual contact and want to go outside. Because they are wheelchair dependent, I am looking for 'walking buddies'. As a walking buddy, you are flexible in time and make suitable arrangements with the resident yourself.
At KleinGeluk we leave no chance unused to promote the well-being of the elderly. As a volunteer, you are invaluable to us! Experiencing small moments of happiness together, so that people feel seen. That is what we do it for.
We offer you guidance and you can participate in workshops to develop new skills if necessary. You can start working for a few hours per month.
Good to know: as a volunteer you are insured (third party liability and accidents) and before starting work we request a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct).
