Summary
In nursing homes and community centres, brain gymnastics is given to a group of about 12 people once a month from September to May.Detailed description
Brain gymnastics
From September through May, Zonnegolf organizes a fun Brain Gymnastics activity once a month in eight nursing homes and community centers. This activity will challenge many minds as volunteers pose a variety of questions. At the end of the season, there's a final, where residents from each home compete against each other. Each of the twelve enthusiastic volunteers has a designated location where they lead the Brain Gymnastics activity.
What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout De Zonnegolf/ RTV Apeldoorn
De Zonnegolf used to be the local broadcasting station for the sick and elderly in Apeldoorn.
Now we actively support the elderly and organize
brain gymnastics sessions in nursing homes and
community centers.
We visit these locations once a month with a
program of questions and language games. These sessions
last approximately two hours.
We also organize De Witte Bedjes (The White Beds) once a year.
This is a fun afternoon for elderly people in Apeldoorn.
There are performances by artists, choirs, or dance groups, and
of course, there's a cup of tea or coffee with something sweet.
These activities are free for participants.
