Do you believe in local, responsible products and do you love gifts and people? Then come help with the sales at Kadolokaal.

KadoLokaal is a gift shop in the center of Wageningen. It's a collaboration between the Match and Work organization and the Pantarijn vocational training center. The shop is committed to contributing to an inclusive society: one that offers opportunities to everyone. KadoLokaal is therefore happy to partner with other initiatives, such as the Maatjesproject (Maddies Project).

At KadoLokaal, you'll find original and handmade gifts. Each one has its own story, made by students and clients, as well as small local businesses and artists. KadoLokaal is also the go-to place in the city center for a variety of regional products and beautiful plants.

There are no classes or daytime activities on weekends and during holidays. Many customers come to the store on those days, so we need you to help us keep it open!

Do you believe in local, responsible products and do you love gifts and people? We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions or are interested in getting involved. We work with a number of permanent volunteers who are scheduled quarterly. We're also looking for many new volunteers for our flex pool: enthusiastic participants who sign up at short notice to fill the gaps in the schedule.

Your tasks:

• You'll work with a colleague to keep the shop running for half a day. You'll open the shop, start the cash register, and check if the plants need watering. You'll check out customers and wrap gifts. You'll answer customers' questions and hope to get them excited about the shop by sharing the KadoLokaal story.

• Sometimes you work together with a student from Pantarijn or a candidate from Match and Work.

• If you'd like, there are plenty of other tasks to do behind the scenes. Think of washing aprons, keeping the store tidy and clean, creating the schedule, and contributing to communication and social media. We take initiative and contribute seriously.

What are we asking?

• You have a customer-friendly attitude.

• You can preferably indicate at least one week in advance whether you can work

• After an induction period, you can work independently.

• You have a sufficient command of Dutch to speak to customers.

• Voluntary but not without obligation: you ensure that we can rely on you

What do we offer?

We do it together! You'll be part of a group of passionate and committed volunteers.

• You will be trained and shown the ins and outs of the store.

• You work at a time that suits you. You sign up for the store schedule at least one week in advance. Two people usually schedule each part of the day, so you're not alone.

• We offer all our volunteers a volunteer contract.
