Jeugdland Instuif (building cabins)

The Instuif is organized in different neighborhoods during the summer holidays. Between 100 and 200 children come daily, accompanied by around 25 volunteers / trainees and 2 professional supervisors.

The Instuif takes place in and around a hut village that children can build themselves. We work on a theme, a story that runs like a thread throughout the week. The Instuif terrain is divided into different squares. The children are distributed over these squares as much as possible by age. In addition to building huts, all kinds of other activities are organized such as; acting, crafts, dance, music, face painting. The employees strive to let creativity come from the children themselves as much as possible.

We start every day with a preliminary meeting at 9 a.m. The starting times are given at the various locations. In between you have a half hour break. At the end of the day, tidying up and the day is evaluated. You can go home around 5 p.m. Your working days are determined in consultation if you cannot participate in an entire project.
