Are you someone who loves nature? And do you enjoy sharing your enthusiasm with children once a month? Then this is for you!

We are looking for enthusiastic leaders for our youth nature club, De Bosvriendjes, for children aged 8 to 12. We meet one Wednesday afternoon per month (9 times a year) at the Scouting building on Prins Hendrikweg in Bennekom.

What are you going to do?

You will go outside with the children and help with the nature scavenger hunt in the forest, making bird feeders in the winter, removing overgrown vegetation on the heath, or catching aquatic creatures in the ditch. The nature club is led by a dedicated team of highly experienced leaders.

When?

Once a month on Wednesday afternoon from 1:45 PM to 5:00 PM.

What do you get from us?

9 times a year an outdoor afternoon with a group of enthusiastic children

Collaboration with a group of enthusiastic and experienced guides; together you create the program

A meaningful way to spend time that gives energy and doesn't take up much time

Shared responsibilities with co-supervisors

What are you bringing?

You are enthusiastic about nature and you can pass this on to children

You are willing to learn from colleagues about the topic of the afternoon.

You participate in the preparation for the afternoon, such as leading the way, gathering or making materials, and setting up scavenger hunts.

You can on Wednesday afternoons (9 times a year, closed during central region school holidays)

You can take your own small group under your wing

IVN Ede requires volunteers working with children to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). You can apply for this free of charge through IVN Ede. If you are not yet a member of IVN Ede, we ask you to become a member (cost: 24 euros per year).

After you apply, we will call you as soon as possible for an initial introduction. Following that, you will spend an afternoon shadowing to get acquainted with the atmosphere and the work. After this introduction, we will discuss whether the work and the team are a good fit for you.

What do we have to offer you?

Enjoyment of nature and enthusiastic children.

What makes the work worthwhile?

Passing on a love for nature to children is of great importance, so that they continue to appreciate the value of nature and the environment later in life.
