What are you going to do
For one of our homes we are looking for a pleasant volunteer who will come by on Wednesday morning to meet the clients.
You literally meet the clients at the kitchen table. You automatically see who is coming and what the clients feel like, for example a chat, playing a game, going outside for a while. If you like, you can prepare lunch together with the hostess.
No morning is the same and the change in clients present is also different each time.
This is you
You are open to life. You like to 'just' let what happens happen, without immediately having a fixed idea of what the part of the day will be like. You can respond to the needs of the client(s) on the spot.
You can empathize with others without judgment. You are reliable and you are able to establish a nice contact with our client. You know how to activate and enthuse our client in a natural way. If necessary, you can also be clear and indicate your limits.
It is important that you are available on Wednesday morning (2-4 pm), this does not have to be weekly. You will be linked to the relevant house.
Where do we go from here
After your registration there will be an introductory meeting where we would like to hear from you who you are, what your hobbies are and what makes you happy. When we think we can do something for each other, we schedule a meeting with your regular contact person who works at the house in question.
What do you get in return
Of course you also get a lot in return for your enthusiastic efforts. You experience that your attention is important in the life of our client.
We ensure that you can perform your volunteer work properly and

- possibility for training and education
- an insurance
- a volunteer agreement in which the agreements are laid down
- and a volunteer allowance.

If you have become enthusiastic, sign up. After your registration, there will be an introductory meeting in which we will also tell you about IrisZorg, the Hoogeland location and the relevant house. By mutual agreement, we arrange a first meeting.

About IrisZorg - Het Hoogeland Beekbergen
IrisZorg is there for young and old and for all layers of the population. We are there for people who have problems in the field of finances, relationships, work or (mental) health. Usually in combination with an addiction and/or (imminent) homelessness. We support clients towards recovery from integral addiction treatment and social counseling. We can use your help as a volunteer with that.
As a volunteer at IrisZorg you make meaningful contact with people with a vulnerable and special background. We see the people behind the addiction, homelessness and other problems. Everyone has their own story. Do you want to support people to get a better grip on their lives? Are you the bridge to the outside world for them, so that they can participate in society again?
