For a number of multicultural women we are looking for someone at the meeting place 't Buurtpalet who can handle a sewing machine and who can guide these women and take them further.
Detailed description
Meeting place 't Buurtpalet in Orden, is located on the grounds of the Kindervreugd playground. Our community center is visited by local residents of all ages and nationalities. We are open all week for all kinds of activities, such as coffee mornings, games, workshops and therapy. We consider everyone equally valuable and try to promote mutual understanding and integration within the neighbourhood.
Activities
Guiding a group of women of foreign origin who like to sew on the sewing machine under supervision. Most women have an Arab background.
An enthusiastic seamstress, who is patient and can explain things to people.
Sewing machines, patterns and other materials. The women pay 2 euros each time and take their own fabric with them.
Once every 14 days a morning. Probably on Friday morning.
About Inloophuis 't Buurtpalet
At the meeting place `t Buurtpalet (formerly Plexat) everyone is equally important. The meeting center is led by the Menorah City District Support Foundation. Everyone from the Orden district and the surrounding area is welcome with us for a cup of coffee or tea, a listening ear, a (hot) meal, creativity, sewing lessons, cooking course, Dutch lesson, a game, a good conversation or a nice chat.
Families and singles, young and old, Dutch and Medelanders come together to meet each other, make friends and help each other.
