Host/hostess Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evening

We want to offer a place to catch your breath in the center of Wageningen. A place where you can meet other people. A place where people listen and where attention, respect and hospitality are central. If this appeals to you and you want to participate in this, we are looking for you!

What does it mean?

Your work consists of receiving visitors, making contact with them. Have a chat and/or offer a listening ear. Offer coffee or tea. Maintain a good atmosphere in which every visitor feels comfortable and safe. Keeping the visitor's room tidy and doing all kinds of practical activities necessary for this.

Work attitude

You work according to the vision of Markt 17: an open and subservient attitude towards others.

What do we have to offer you?

The coordinator is the point of contact for questions and offers coaching / guidance. Both in the corridors and by appointment. The coordinator also points out various relevant courses and trainings that are organized locally. Volunteer meetings are organized occasionally. Here you meet fellow volunteers and discuss the work together. Collective accident and damage insurance has been arranged for volunteers by the municipality of Wageningen.

What makes the work worthwhile?:

Our volunteers work in an environment with a lot of fun and in a relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers meet people they would not normally meet. Offering hospitality and a listening ear is not a one-way street: you often receive attention and interest in return from visitors.
