Summary
Looking for a buddy for a man of around 65 who is very difficult to understand and who has hardly any contact with others.
Detailed description
We are looking for a bright spot for a very lonely man, born in 1956. He has a form of MS that limits his talking and moving. He would like to get some fresh air once a week and, accompanied by a buddy, walk outside in the wheelchair. There is a dire situation. Mr. seems to have lost contact with family or friends and spends the whole day sitting in the chair in front of the window or lying in bed. He is unable to keep his house clean. He is happy with his dog that keeps him company. Sir smokes.
Job description:
As a buddy you listen and you think along about how he can tackle things. By creating peace and space, he is again able to focus on the future.
Your commitment is approximately 1 to 3 hours per week. In addition, there is a volunteer meeting once every six weeks.
Required knowledge/skills: you endorse the values of Humanitas: equality, responsibility, self-determination, involvement and demand-oriented.

- you can take the initiative but also give the other the space to take it
- you enthuse, encourage but do not direct
