As a district head for the Heart Foundation, you take care of your collectors (materials, walking routes, counting proceeds). You meet with the district heads 3 to 4 times a year.
The Heart Foundation's national fundraising week is always in April.
We are looking for a district coordinator in Midden Wageningen. There are many collectors available in Wageningen, but too few people to provide them with a collection box and street plans to walk the collection.
The district head has direct contact with the collectors in his or her district and is therefore also the first point of contact for the collectors.
As a district head, you preferably live in or near your district, due to the delivery and collection of the collection boxes.
The district head is responsible for handing out the collection boxes prior to the collection week and assigning the streets in the district where the collector is permitted to collect.
After the collection week, the district head ensures that all collection boxes from his or her district are collected, counts the money together with the collector, and ensures that the total proceeds are delivered to the collection organizer.
Together with the collection organizer and the other district heads in Wageningen, an evaluation will be conducted after the collection week.
As a district head, you are not required to collect donations yourself, although you are certainly welcome to do so. It is important that you speak Dutch and have a sense of responsibility.
Throughout the year, we meet with the neighborhood heads and the collection organizer approximately four times. These meetings are always in the evening, and the date is determined in consultation.
There are an average of 40 collectors per year. We currently have 3 district heads in Wageningen. That is really too few. We would very much like to increase that to 4 or possibly 5 district heads. It is a friendly team, and everyone does what is within their capabilities.
Experience with fundraising or as a district head is not necessary, but is of course welcome. Administration is handled via Collecteweb. Some familiarity with computers and websites is required.
