Do you want to mean something to someone else? At Handjehelpen we match volunteers with children and adults with a disability. It is about voluntary work that fits everyone's agenda.
For example, visit someone who is lonely, take a child with a disability to play outside, or go for a walk with someone who can no longer go outside alone due to dementia.
Who are we?
At Handjehelpen you can choose from different types of volunteer work. From 'simple' volunteer work to help that requires specific knowledge or experience. The help is given one on one. This means that you have your 'own' client who you visit in his or her house. Our volunteer work is aimed at social contact for a longer period of time. Where necessary, we help, support and guide you.
If you have no experience with people with a disability, then that is no problem. We always look for a question that suits you. And a no-obligation conversation with a Handjehelpen coordinator is always possible.
We ask
- Application for a certificate of good conduct (VOG);
- Reliability, empathy;
- Available for a period.
We offer
- Volunteers are carefully linked to a client for a period of time;
- In addition to individual guidance, there is an extensive training and guidance offer;
- Travel allowance.
