High in the north, in a vast land of fields and villages, is the start of your adventure. In Achlum they want to get started with biodiversity. The village stakeholder is enthusiastic and the villagers have already thought about possibilities. But then comes the output ...
Put your hands out of your sleeves, for example for planting bee-friendly plants or making and hanging nest boxes. But some jobs are too big to do yourself. Or - let's face it - much nicer to do together with the villagers. Then you can get organization skills to work. You arrange days when, for example, you start planting trees with volunteers or children from the school.
So if you feel like a hands-on project where you can use a lot of creativity and different skills, you give up! Even if you just want to help increase biodiversity. Be welcome :)
In short: your commitment
- Look at the different plans as an advisor. Which plans fit this environment? Who do we need to consult to get that done? Which budgets are needed for this?
- Even with the work gloves on to increase the biodiversity of Achlum.
- Organize days where villagers get to work together.
In short: your impact
With this project you help to make an area with much intensive agriculture more interesting for insects, wild flowers and birds. The greater the biodiversity, the better the environment can withstand changes. For example, climate changes. But you have a double impact here. Achlum is in a shrinking region. Your actions increase the quality of life in the village. So you also score points on social impact.
When?
Usually Thursday but also a few times on Saturday in Achlum.

The Green Traineeship gives you
- a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience at a national project organization in the field of nature, education and sustainability;
- professional guidance;
- collaborate with a group of 10 trainees
- relevant training and workshops;
- an upgrade of your network;
- a creative environment where you can discover and deploy your talent;
- the ability to turn ideas into implementation;
- A volunteer allowance of 2 euros per hour and travel allowance (with a maximum of 170 euros per month).
