Join us on Friday, May 15th, and Saturday, May 16th, 2026, as Be The Change Foundation collaborates with the Oranje Fonds to present the twelth edition of SXM DOET – the largest volunteer event in Sint Maarten and the Kingdom.
SXM DOET is calling on YOU to contribute to the positive development of Sint Maarten. Whether it's painting murals, planting trees, organizing games, or hosting a dance for the elderly, there are numerous projects awaiting your support. Join the ranks of hundreds of other volunteers on May 15 & 16, 2026, and become part of the largest volunteer initiative in the Dutch Kingdom. Friends, families, colleagues, classmates, and teammates – all are invited to unite and ensure the ongoing success of SXM DOET for years to come.

SXM DOET forms part of the largest volunteer initiative of the Dutch Kingdom, an initiative initiated by the Oranje Fonds in collaboration with the Be The Change Foundation.
The 'DOET' initiative started in the Netherlands in 2004 and later expanded to Bonaire (BON DOET 2011), Aruba (ARUBA DOET 2013), and Curacao (CURA DOET 2014). Due to its great success and the need for such great initiatives, STATIA DOET and SXM DOET will follow suit with their own volunteer programs on Friday, May 16, 2025 and Saturday, May 17, 2025.
The initiative involves all interested NGOs that have a project they need help with. They can register their project on the www.sxmdoet.com website and start to recruit volunteers to help with executing the project. Funding can be requested from the organization to help with executing the project as well. Together, the community and the NGOs create a better and brighter future for Sint Maarten as a whole.
