Animal ambulance employee Co-driver

As an Animal Ambulance Employee (Co-driver), you provide first aid to animals and help transport deceased, injured and/or found (domestic) animals. You also assist the fire brigade, police, municipal services and provide assistance in national emergencies.

During a journey you are the point of contact for the control room and you handle the necessary administration in a neat and correct manner. As a team (you and the driver) you ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle and transport materials (cleaning according to hygiene protocol).

It is not necessary to have a driver's license for the position of co-driver.

This is a position for approximately 10-15 hours per week.

The tasks:

- Answering telephones, providing information and advice and prioritizing journeys.

- Providing first aid to injured/sick animals.

- Transporting injured, found and/or deceased animals to the relevant shelter, shelter and/or crematorium

- Collecting deceased pets along public roads.

What are we looking for?

In addition to endorsing the objectives of the Animal Protection Society, you have or are:

- Affinity with animals and the work of animal protection.

- MBO working and thinking level and at least 21 years old.

- A flexible and service-oriented attitude and good social and communication skills.

And are you:

- Min. 2 services per week available. Night shift in consultation.

- Willing to attend the courses and meetings offered.

- Stress-resistant, flexible and in good physical health/fitness.
