“the story bus”

The idea has the working title “the story bus”.

What preceded:

For several years I have had conversations with the elderly about recent experiences (e.g. corona and Lock down) or experiences longer ago (e.g. 75 years of liberation). I convert these conversations into a story in which the narrator and his experience are central. These stories are then read aloud and are then published in the house magazine of the institution where the protagonist lives.

The idea:

My ultimate dream is to take a van into the neighborhood and invite local residents to tell their story. Which is then put on paper by the listener/interviewer/writer. At the end of the first conversation, a follow-up appointment is made for a reading meeting. The main character (local resident) comes to listen to the story and is then allowed to take it with him.
