Would you like to walk with a newcomer? With someone who lives in the refugee shelter and who really wants to meet Dutch people, learn the language and discover Deventer? It is outside, there are two of you and you can keep 1.5 meters away. Completely Corona-proof.
How does it work?
> Deventer Doet links the volunteer who registers with a resident of the refugee shelter.
> You receive the name and telephone number of the resident and make contact to make a walking appointment
> You meet at the refugee shelter at 2 Frieswijkerweg, or at another place where you can go by bicycle. ( This is due to the resident of the shelter; he / she must be able to cycle because he / she does not have a car and is not allowed to get into the car with the volunteer due to the Corona rules )
> During a walk you get to know each other, with each other's culture, you practice with language and walk along beautiful places in Deventer.
