Buurtgezinnen in Wageningen is looking for families who want to share their home in a practical and everyday way with families who need support.
Job description:
As a support family, you become a trusted source of support and support for a host family for a longer period of time, helping them raise their children. The support you provide, and the amount of time you dedicate, depends on the agreements you make with the host family. This can range from occasional overnight stays to childcare on fixed days of the week. It can also range from babysitting to doing fun things together with the children. It's a tailored approach. The support a support family provides can also change over time.
Job requirements:
Experience with parenting, the will to make a difference for children in the neighborhood who are having a hard time and the time to invest.
What do you have to offer the volunteer?:
The Neighborhood Families coordinator supports both the host family and the host family in the process of searching and connecting.
What makes the work worth it?:
As a support family, you share what's going well for you. A host family feels a sense of relief and support because the parenting task is shared and you're not alone.
