Together with a fellow neighborhood mediator, you use your impartial attitude to help people who want to resolve a (threatening) conflict with their neighbors.
Do you recognize yourself in this or does it appeal to you?
- be able to impartially lead a conversation between neighbors;
- have an interest in fellow human beings;
- respect the opinions of others;
- being able to listen well, summarize and ask questions;
- being able to deal with resistance;
- participate in and successfully complete the Basic Neighborhood Mediation Training (3 days, including 1 on the weekend);
- attend annual refresher training;
- participate in team evenings (approx. 6 per year);
- working with a co-mediator;
- have an average of 1 case in hand.
