Forest View Foundation
Boszicht is a private housing initiative in Apeldoorn, where 12 people with a mild to moderate intellectual disability live in the age of 25-35 years.
Our residents go to their daytime activities during the week, but on Wednesday afternoons everyone is at home and we give daytime activities ourselves by means of workshops. Our residents have chosen these workshops themselves. You can think of: cooking, being creative, learning another language, nature, animals, alcohol, woodworking, electricity, filming, music, theatre, sports... It can't get crazy enough.
What do we offer:
- Participate in a warm team
- A look at a private housing initiative
- A cozy and social moment where you have contact with the target group
- A defined task, so that there can be no questioning
- Travel allowance if applicable
What do we ask:
- To be present once a week on Wednesday afternoon
- Between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM
- That you especially enjoy working with this target group and that you can deal flexibly with special behaviour. Experience is nice, but not required.
- A VOG statement
- That you live in Apeldoorn or its immediate vicinity (maximum 15 kilometers)
- You don't have to come up with workshops yourself, but you can always think along
