For our fundraising team we are looking for a volunteer who wants to help for a few hours a week with the conception, set-up and execution of events and ideas that can generate funds. Think of lectures, Charity Dinners, lotteries, online fundraisers, fund applications and so on.

Background:
Bite Back is an animal rights/animal liberation organization that is committed to an animal-friendly society and does not forget issues surrounding human rights and the climate.
We want to achieve this by conducting active and effective campaigns. Think of our actions around the Dolfinarium and around the dairy industry. We conduct action in various ways and always look again at what can work best at that specific location: from information campaigns to fun actions and sometimes a little bit naughty and disobedient.
Fundraising is a hugely important part of that. Many actions and campaigns come with a hefty price tag. The more finances we have at our disposal, the more we can ultimately achieve for the animals.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Within the team there are all sorts of tasks that can be done. Think of the following:
- Devising and developing ideas from A to Z that fit within the vision of Bite Back and ultimately provide more income. The more creative, the more fun!
- Devising promotions and campaigns for our webshop.
- Devising campaigns to recruit donors.
- Maintain contacts with volunteers who help at events.
- Possibly writing funding applications.
We are looking for someone:
- With a creative mind for coming up with ideas that can ultimately generate money and/or donors for the foundation. This can range from setting up an interesting lecture to a benefit concert to writing a fund-raising application.
- Who can and wants to develop ideas from A to Z.
- Who is not afraid to try something and can make adjustments as you go along.
- Who can work well in a team, but is also willing to work independently.
- Who already has some experience in developing fundraising activities and/or is prepared to delve further into this on his/her own initiative.
- With good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch.
- Who can free up at least 3 hours per week (spread over the week) for volunteer work. We understand that this is not possible during holidays and such.
- Who wants to remain active for the Bite Back Foundation for at least 12 months.
Please note: because we are a small foundation with limited resources, we cannot provide extensive training in fundraising. Therefore, we are really looking for someone with experience or someone who wants to read up on this themselves, as well as someone who is determined to stay with us for at least a year. So only respond if you think you can meet these requirements.
And someone who also:
- Passionate about animal rights and veganism.
- Vegan is either a vegetarian on the way to veganism.
- Agree to our code of conduct.
