Summary
Amnesty International is a charity. Among other things, she conducts investigations when they suspect that a country does not comply with human rights.Detailed description
Teach them a lesson!
Give a lesson about children's rights and human rights at a primary school, for example at your own old primary school! Because if we want a world in which human and children's rights are respected, as many people as possible need to know what their rights are. That's why we need as many volunteers as possible who want to give fun lessons about human and children's rights!
Amnesty supplies the material, you do the rest
During this internship you will get to work yourself to teach about children's and human rights at a primary school. So you make appointments yourself with a school in your area. You give the lesson to group 7 or 8. You can give as many lessons as you can and want. You can also do this internship in pairs if your internship coordinator allows. Amnesty supplies you with the teaching material, for which you do not have to pay.
The preparation
In our scenario you will find the step-by-step plan for this internship. Before you start your internship, you already do an e-learning . As a result, you learn a thing or two about human rights and Amnesty's work. You can use this knowledge when preparing your lesson. The e-learning takes approximately one and a half hours. You can add this time to the number of hours you spend on your social internship. You will spend a total of about 14 hours preparing and teaching the lesson. For every extra lesson you give, 6 hours are added.
