Summary

fundraiser
In dozens of countries in the world child labour, torture or working conditions are very bad. Many countries do not respect human rights. No reason for a party… You can still organize a party as an internship for Amnesty. Because to do something against all that injustice, Amnesty needs money. And Amnesty does not accept money from the government for research and actions, because then it is less easy to criticize the same government. Amnesty's money comes from members and donors. And from people who donate the proceeds of, for example, a party, a movie afternoon, a market or a sponsored walk to Amnesty.
Do what you feel like
Organize something that you can use to raise money. For example, you can bake cupcakes and ask to sell them in the school cafeteria. Or make fun stuff with your classmates and sell them at school or to parents. You can also organize a film afternoon and charge an entrance fee, or organize a sponsored walk. Think about what you like and be creative. The only thing that is not allowed is just going door-to-door asking for money.
The preparation
The step-by-step plan for this internship is set out in a script . Before you start your internship, you can already make an e-learning . As a result, you will learn a thing or two about human rights and Amnesty's work. You can add this time to the number of hours you spend on your social internship. The e-learning lasts approximately one and a half hours and you can add this time to the number of hours for your social internship. In total you will spend about 8 hours organizing and executing this internship; if you organize a more extensive fundraising campaign, the number of hours can increase.
