Chairman (aspiring board position)

Tasks:

→ As a board member is jointly responsible for policy determination and implements the established policy.

→ Manages the board meetings of Amivedi, ensures good mutual cooperation, and makes final decisions in the event of a tie.

→ Ensures a good division of tasks and mutual replacement in the board.

→ Provides support and advice in the event of problems, both for individual board members and for the board as a whole.

→ Develops vision and, where appropriate, initiates specific actions together with the board, both within and outside Amivedi.

→ Anticipates questions, needs and developments within and outside Amivedi.

→ Guarantees continuity within the board, draws up the agenda for board meetings together with the secretary, and is ultimately responsible for that agenda.

Knowledge and skills:

→ Diplomatic and knows how to stimulate people by appreciating everyone's input and not exercising too much formal authority.

→ Discreet, able to deal with tension and 'difficult people', and solution-oriented, independent in the performance of the job, without having to constantly rely on others.

→ Able to work in situations without clear-cut boundaries and, given the joint responsibility for the common result, to identify with sub-areas within and outside Amivedi.

Qualifications:

→ Demonstrable experience with - or potential for - managing medium-sized organizations.

→ Familiarity with the specific characteristics of voluntary organizations.

→ Higher working and thinking level.

→ Mobile throughout the Netherlands.

→ Familiar with modern communication tools and systems.

→ Creative and solution-oriented.
