Detailed description

We are looking for creative and proactive individuals to support an exciting cross-cultural program between students in Tanzania and the Netherlands. If you have a flair for content creation, project planning, research, and social media, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a meaningful international initiative!


Role Overview

  • Position: Project Coordinator
  • Commitment: Part-time, approximately 4–6 hours per week
  • Duration: 6 month-1 year (flexible hours)
  • Contribution: Voluntary

 

Profile Requirements

To be suitable for the role, you should have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
  • Creativity, initiative, and confidence in contributing ideas
  • Interest in marketing, communications, or social media strategy
  • Willingness to learn budgeting, finance and fund applications
  • Curiosity about global cultures and youth engagement
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, social platforms)
  • A strong interest in education, global citizenship, and youth empowerment
  • Proactivity, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Experience in content creation or project development

 

Key Qualities of the Ideal Coordinator

  • Undergraduate background, preferably in project management, education, communication, or related fields
  • Experience with social media, digital tools (e.g. Canva, Instagram), and content creation
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Tech-savviness with tools such as Teams and Canva
  • Culturally curious and passionate about global collaboration
  • Fluency in English and Dutch

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating project deliverables and supporting the team
  • Drafting and editing project materials and reports
  • Contributing to marketing, outreach, and communications
  • Assisting with budgeting, fundraising, and financial tracking
  • Managing website content and social media channels
  • Supporting community engagement and audience growth
  • Developing PR materials such as newsletters and press releases
  • Building relationships with schools and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with international partners to ensure inclusive, impactful initiatives
