Developing exhibitions about nature and heritage for the Nature and Outdoors Hub, the study center of Aardbalans.
What are you going to do?
- you design exhibitions together with the manager of the study center
- you are responsible for parts of the entire production process from idea to exhibition
- you, together with others, are concerned with both the craft-creative side and the substantive side and the technical exhibition aspects
- you consult with other volunteers about specific parts of the exhibition
- you contribute to both the permanent exhibition (and keeping it up to date) and temporary exhibitions (which will largely correspond with the seasons)
- you arrange, in consultation, materials needed for creating the exhibition
- you seek cooperation with other organizations
- you contribute to writing texts for the exhibitions
- you think about the images
- you make proposals for the use of interactive resources
When does this job suit you?
- minimum MBO-4 working and thinking level, preferably craft/creative, museums, education
- you can do a lot of work in a short time
- you are a creative jack-of-all-trades who comes up with unexpected perspectives
- you have the necessary experience in exhibition construction and/or museum sector [hard requirement]
- you are at home in several markets and have a can-do mentality
- you work accurately and keep your agreements
- in addition to Dutch, you also master English and preferably also German
- think along based on the question and come up with creative solutions
- affinity with non-profit organizations
