Educational and creative storytelling for visitors to the Nature and Outdoors Hub, the study centre of Aardbalans.
What are you going to do?
- you develop educational stories about nature and heritage
- you combine the content with a creative design
- you tell the stories to visitors of the Nature and Outdoor Life Hub
- you involve your audience in your performance through interaction
- you provide your audience with insight into complex (scientific) information in understandable language
- you let your audience reflect on their own actions
- you encourage the public to make more sustainable choices
- you contribute to an (emotional) connection between your audience and nature and heritage
- you have an eye for diversity and can communicate inclusively in your performance
- you are willing to also get involved during nature/heritage events
- you maintain contacts with content experts about the content of the information
When does this job suit you?
- minimum MBO work and thinking level, preferably in the direction of theatre, drama, stage, cabaret, cabaret or creative communication
- you have experience with (street) theatre and performing in front of an audience
- you are a born storyteller who knows how to respond to audiences and circumstances
- you can stick to a script and/or pre-given instructions
- willingness to develop a performance in consultation with others
- you are open to feedback and are willing to adjust your performance
- you have an affinity with nature and landscape, heritage and local history and/or environment and sustainability and are prepared to delve into this in depth
- you would like to work for a non-profit organization
