Detailed description
The ASKV is looking for volunteers who want to strengthen the legal assistance team. As a volunteer you provide legal advice and guide (refuted) refugees in their procedure to obtain a residence status. The team also aims to organize social services and improve socio-economic rights for this group.
Your work:
• Supervision of the legal procedure:
° Legal case study and analysis
° Investigation of starting points for stay
° Obtaining evidence
• Provide legal advice on the rights of undocumented migrants.
• Dossier consultation with colleagues and lawyers
• Improve social rights such as childcare, child allowance, etc.

About ASKV / Steunpunt Vluchtelingen
Naast hulpverlening en huisvesting werkt ASKV aan een structurele verbetering van hun positie door campagnes, onderzoek, lobby en acties. ASKV wil een volwaardig bestaan voor alle vluchtelingen in Nederland, ook als zij (nog) niet over een verblijfsvergunning beschikken. Iedereen heeft dezelfde basisrechten, zoals onderdak, middelen voor levensonderhoud en gezondheidszorg. Ook heeft iedereen het recht op zelfbeschikking en de mogelijkheid om talenten en vaardigheden te ontplooien.
