The organization: Young & Fair

Young & Fair is the Dutch platform for young people interested and active in the world of fair trade and sustainability. Through this platform, we strive to increase our knowledge of fair trade and thereby expand the market for fair trade products. In addition, we see a role for Young & Fair to achieve more youth participation in the world of fair trade. For this we organize various activities on fair trade and sustainability.

The team

As project manager of the Fair Fashion Festival you send a core team of five coordinators who in turn, manage sub-teams.

The function: Project leader

As project leader you are responsible for the overall project development. You keep an overview of the progress, the planning and the costs. You are firmly in your shoes, you are well able to maintain an overview and see the big picture. You are also able to motivate and inspire the team. Preferably you have good substantive knowledge yourself. In addition to managing the (core) team, you are also the point of contact for the board. Finally, you can delegate well, but you are not afraid to put up the sails yourself if necessary.

• Managing the (core) team
• Presiding the meetings
• Networking and maintaining relationships
• Fundraising and sponsoring
• Writing sponsor and subsidy reports
• Report to board

• Being able to communicate and working well in a team
• Proactive commitment and can-do mentality
• Affinity with sustainable consumption and fair trade
• Meet the meeting once every two weeks
• Pré: experience with organizing events

Time

The function will take an average of 6-8 hours per week.
