The organization: Young & Fair

Young & Fair is the Dutch platform for young people interested and active in the world of fair trade and sustainability. Through this platform, we strive to increase our knowledge of fair trade and thereby expand the market for fair trade products. In addition, we see a role for Young & Fair to achieve more youth participation in the world of fair trade. For this we organize various activities on fair trade and sustainability.

The team

At the Fair Fashion Festival you are part of the six-member core team, you have final responsibility for the finances and you can optionally send a sub-team.

The function: Finance Coordinator

As Finance Coordinator you are responsible for the financial and sailing the project in the role of treasurer. You prepare the budget and ensure that the project stays within this budget. You also keep yourself busy applying for funds and the acquisition. You are fully in control in the field of finance and know exactly what goes in and out. In addition to finances, you are also responsible for secretarial matters and you support the project leader. You have close contact with the treasurers of the other project teams of Young & Fair.

What you are going to do.

• Setting up the project budget
• Tracking financial progress
• Report to the treasurer of Y & F
• Manage incoming and outgoing invoices
• Fundraising, sponsoring & acquisition
• Financial accountability / final budget
• Pré: Meeting minutes

What we expect from you

• Maintaining a structured and strong overview
• Affinity with, and preferably a degree in finance
• Being able to work well in a team
• Proactive commitment and can-do mentality
• Meet the meeting once every two weeks

Time

The function will take on average 4-6 hours per week depending on gauge of the project.
