Detailed description
We at trashless.earth believe that solving major problems can best be achieved by making small steps together with many people in a fun and connecting way and have therefore set up a community platform. You can help create a snowball effect by motivating and inspiring people to join and participate in the solution.
As a Trashless reporter you go looking for people in your area who are committed to reducing the plastic problem. You invite them for an interview, she asks what motivates them to do what they do, what results they have achieved and what their most special experiences were. You place the report and their photo on the activity feed of www.trashless.earth. Of course you have to first read it to the interviewee so that any inaccuracies can still be corrected and you ask them to register with trashless.earth. Explain that they can inspire more people with their actions and come into contact with other active people in their environment. In addition, you can also place relevant news from your environment on the trash folder so that we get an increasingly complete picture of what happens per place and what results are achieved. Making actions and results visible is contagious and inspires others to do something.
About Trashless
Two years ago, I, Rosa Leijdekkers, started asking people to go on a trashdate with me, because I thought it would be easier to do something about the pollution problem if it was fun and done together. After this, I organised events on a regular base, to bring people together, have fun, and clean up the area. Right now we have launched a website for people who would like to do something, make an impact, and meet like minded people. With this, we aim to create a ripple effect, because when many people unite to make a stand to solve a problem, they will. We now are an organisation with 5 volunteers and would like to build a much larger community to spread our message and bring people together to end the plastic pollution.
