Do you want to help make Weesp more sustainable and are you interested in energy savings in homes? At Weesp Duurzaam we train energy coaches who help Weespers on their way to an energy-efficient home free of charge and without obligation. Register and after eight webinars you are ready to help shape the energy transition in Weesp!
The energy coach in general
Our coaches help Orphans who want to reduce their energy needs at home, but do not immediately know how. We provide handles and tips. Normally our coaches visit a home owner or tenant for this. This allows us to properly assess the best savings options for the specific situation, wishes and preferences of the resident.
What exactly the energy coach does
As an energy coach you have knowledge about all kinds of insulation, about heat and power generation, about ventilation options, about small measures to reduce your energy need and about smart adjustments in behavior that result in a resident with less energy. You don't have to know an answer to everything: your role is that of a friendly, helpful neighbor or neighbor who knows a lot about energy efficiency. You think along, make suggestions, inform. And then it is up to the resident.
The energy coach team
As an energy coach you are part of a team of expert volunteers. You are supported by a coordinator and can regularly participate in in-depth courses. You also have access to handy software that you can use together with residents to map out the energy-saving measures. This contains a clear file that the resident already partially fills in before your visit, so that you can be well prepared. For the financial considerations involved in many energy investments, you will also find a calculation tool in the online advice method. Speaking of financial considerations: as an energy coach you (of course) receive a volunteer allowance.
About Weesp Sustainable
Weesp Duurzaam is a volunteer platform that is committed to a greener and future-proof Weesp. Through and for Weespers we try to support the climate and nature in our city. An important part of our organization is the energy cooperative Weesp Eco Energie. Energy coaches play an important role in this. Weesp Eco Energie is affiliated with Stichting Hoom, the national umbrella organization for energy cooperatives. Hoom provides training for new coaches and is the developer of the supporting software.
