About TEDxAmsterdamED

TEDxAmsterdamED TEDxAmsterdamED is a non-profit organization that has existed since 2012 with one single idea: what if we could create an event to open up education to the outside world and provide inspiration to the inside? Since then we have brought more than 60 ideas worth sharing to our stage and TEDx online, as well as, ignited and inspired many more ideas within our audience. Every year we focus on different aspects in education and have a different theme for our events. Last year, we introduced the concept of Dutch DNA-Based Education – a concept through which we focus on and highlight the different characteristics of us as the Dutch which are embedded in our DNA. Characteristics that we believe should be more focused on and enabled in the educational system. This year, in 2019, we are focusing on one of these characteristics: Entrepreneurship.
