Are you someone who connects people and who focuses on creating a warm Resto feeling? Do you enjoy welcoming people with different backgrounds and stories to our table? Are you also good at managing the cash register? Then register as a hostess/host for Resto VanHarte.
Activities
You are often the first person our guests see when they enter. In addition to welcoming guests, you manage the cash register and maintain the guest list. You help prepare the Resto dinner and serve it. You ensure an attractive Resto evening by inspiring the guests and connecting them with each other.
Skill requirements
You are social and friendly towards guests and your fellow volunteers. Because of your open attitude, others quickly come to you with questions. You are helpful and show attention to others.

A Resto is a cozy neighborhood restaurant where everyone can join. It is the place where loneliness is exchanged for a listening ear. And all while enjoying a tasty and healthy meal. Together with our volunteers, we welcome guests at 50 locations. These are places in large and medium-sized cities where we all want to combat loneliness. Because half of the Dutch feel lonely. And we can do something about that.
The driving forces behind Resto VanHarte is a professional team of Resto Managers, Catering Managers and volunteers. They are supported by a small team at the central office in Amsterdam. Thanks to their efforts and the contributions of donors, the government and companies, Resto VanHarte organizes approximately 100,000 meetings every year! And where we can, we also organize other activities to combat loneliness.
