Detailed description
The Meeting:
The meeting place is located in the Matenhof residential care centre in Matengaarde. All residents of Apeldoorn are very welcome. For example, people who are lonely and looking for company. During the week, various activities are offered, such as creative activities, walking, games, flower arranging, training and courses. We also offer a hot meal from Monday to Friday. The local resident can then eat with us for a small fee. Lunch is offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The group is supervised by 2 care professionals and is supported by volunteers.
What are we asking?
We are looking for a volunteer for Monday who would like to support the weekly cooking/preparation of hot food at the cafe. The times are from 15:30-19:30 but can also be shorter in consultation. The group consists of a maximum of 16 participants. The volunteer is together with 2 healthcare professionals, who are all allowed to eat with us. We are looking for volunteers who have an affinity with preparing food and/or can be a conversation partner for the participants. This concerns light support tasks, such as; preparing food, pouring coffee, setting tables or rinsing the dishes. Would you like to come and meet us?
