Who will come with us to church on our property?

Who are we?

We are a fun group of clients with severe intellectual disabilities. They are between 69 and 73 years old. Some clients can walk, others depend on a tricycle or wheelchair. Everyone indicates in his or her own way what he or she likes through non-verbal or verbal communication. A number of clients are hard of hearing or visually impaired, as is appropriate for this age.

What do we ask?

We are looking for one or more volunteers who would like to go to church on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We have a church on our property that organizes singing and storytelling services. These services are adapted to the level of the clients and there is always a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere. For our clients it is always an extension of the weekend. Unfortunately, the guidance is not always available. That is why we are looking for volunteers who would like to join us.

Organization information

Within 's Heeren Loo, the efforts of volunteers are valuable. They contribute to a meaningful life for people with an intellectual disability. Thanks to the many volunteers of 's Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and fulfill personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
