Who is coming especially for Marco?

Who is Marco?:

Marco is a cheerful 38-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. His developmental age is between 2 and 4. He lives in a group home on the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. He receives 24-hour support. He's a cheerful man with a great sense of humor. When he's comfortable, he makes lots of jokes. He's developed his own language, using his own words. Learning to understand his language is a fun challenge! Marco enjoys watching all kinds of sports and talking about them. He enjoys listening to music and cycling. But he's even more passionate about going out for a nice day. Marco is visually impaired. His caregivers are happy to tell you more about him!

What is Marco asking?:

We're looking for a buddy for Marco. A man or woman who enjoys coming over specifically for Marco once a month or more, to escape from the group where he lives. He'd love to go cycling together, watch sports together, go on a day trip, or just go somewhere. His supervisors can arrange this with you as a volunteer. We're looking for someone who shares his sense of humor and appreciates his jokes, someone who has the patience to learn his language, and someone who wants to have fun with him. He visits his parents every other weekend and is unavailable on Wednesday evenings. But otherwise, he's open to any day.
