The four-house is located in the residential care park for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
Who are we?
Our residential care park is an institution for people with an intellectual and/or physical disability. The Vierhuis is located at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo in Apeldoorn. Het Vierhuis is a multifunctional building where, in addition to meetings and training, church services also take place. The clients of 's Heeren Loo come here on Sundays with or without a supervisor, with or without family, to the honor and/or storytelling service. The services are adapted to the level of our clients. One client sings along to all the songs at the top of their lungs, another client knows all the stories and yet another client sways along to the music of the organ. A nice, recognizable place for everyone, where everyone can get their own piece out of it. About 150 people come to our storytelling service and 400 people to our worship service. In order for these services to run smoothly, a concierge/nurse is needed to arrange and coordinate a number of matters.
What do we ask?
The duties of the sexton are; ensuring that everything is ready together with the hostess. The microphone is on, the chairs are in the right position, the literature is ready on the screen, etc. If necessary, the concierge/verger provides coffee for all church guests after the services in the foyer.
The caretaker/nurse can solve problems that may arise in consultation with the others.
We are looking for a number of sextons. Sextons who rotate by consultation and provide a service approximately once a month. We are looking for sextons who respect everyone's faith, sextons who solve problems and sextons who can provide a good service. You meet with the team 4 times a year. Before each service, the sexton receives a memo stating what will happen. Are you confident and do you enjoy being in contact with clients and relatives? You can make a difference and would you like to contribute something to our clients in this way? Services are always at 10:30 am every Sunday.

Thanks to the many volunteers from 'Heeren Loo, we can organize extra activities and provide personal attention and wishes for clients. Think of taking a walk, playing a game or just having a good conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee.
